Our Commitment
We believe every guest — whether dining in, ordering online, or simply browsing our menu — deserves a seamless experience. We are actively working to make boilbaynorfolk.com conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, or other assistive technologies.
What We've Done
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and interactive elements throughout the site
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements for keyboard users
- Descriptive alt text on images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
- Proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3) on every page
- All form inputs have associated labels and required-field indicators

- Modal dialogs include focus trapping, Escape-key dismissal, and aria-modal attributes
- Menu category controls announce their state to screen readers via aria-pressed and aria-live
